Africa Agri-Finance Forum | AAFF 2018
According to expert reports, agriculture sector in Africa is the least productive in the world. Small-scale and subsistence farmers, pastoralists, and fishermen produce most of the food consumed in this region, yet they continue to face a number of challenges. Lack of capital for investment contributes significantly to the lowering of small scale farmers’ productivity levels.
The Africa Agri-Finance Forum is scheduled on the 25th September 2018 in Nairobi under a timely theme “Inclusive Finance for the Agricultural Value Chain”, a theme informed by the overarching direction to transform product offerings & revolutionize the lack of capital investment in the sector. In that matter, the conference will discuss six different topics: Financial inclusion and innovation in Agriculture, Value chain financing, Doing Successful Agribusiness in Africa, Public-private partnerships, The role of digital finance technologies, Policies: Infrastructure & legal/regulatory intervention, and Risk mitigation.
