Presentation of the KLIP Impact Study at the Annual Micro Insurance Network Meeting in Luxembourg

Every year since 2014 The Micro Insurance Network (MIN) invites all its members to explore what has happened in the sector during the past year, to share experiences, projects and goals for the new period to come. This time the event was hosted by the city of Luxembourg from the 5th to the 6th of June, that was attended by key development agencies and programmes with experience in this sector such as ILO, UNEP-PSI, CEAR, MiCRO, GIZ among others.

In this occasion, The Alliance on Climate Risk Transfer Solutions, led by the develoPPP.de team of GIZ and Swiss Re, had the opportunity to present an Impact Study on the Kenya Livestock Insurance Program (KLIP). The speaker was the project leader Dr. Alexander Jaeger, who shared the results from the study on the “Awareness, Perception and Outcomes of the Kenya Livestock Insurance Program (KLIP)” which is the first comprehensive study conducted by external researchers that investigates pastoralists’ knowledge and perception of KLIP as well as the outcomes of the KLIP payouts with respect to pastoralist households’ welfare.  You can download the KLIP Impact study visiting the Seminars Material section in the website:
